PLAYOFFS - Placement Tie Breakers
CSFA RULES & REGULATION:
Playoffs
- A Player shall not be eligible to participate in any playoff games unless he has participated in one or more league games. If a Player has not participated in one or more league games due to an injury suffered while playing football with his Team he shall be eligible to participate in the playoff games of that Team.
- The Executive has complete and full discretion to determine the Playoff format. The Executive shall determine the Playoff format each year and disclose to the League and Teams the Playoff format before the first League game of the year.
- In the event of a tie in the standings at the end of the regular season based on points (2 points for a win/1 point for a tie) the following tie-breaking formula shall be used to determine rankings:
(i) Total number of wins.
(ii) Games won or lost between the tied teams.
(iii) Points for-and-against in games between the tied teams (in case of a three-way tie).
(iv) Points for-and-against in games against common opponents of the tied teams.
(v) Coin toss with Team with the name closest to the beginning of the alphabet calling the toss.
For tie-breaker purposes, a maximum score differential of 21 shall be used in calculating points for-and-against.
